Devon Bridgwaters is a licensed professional counselor, qualified clinical supervisor, and owner of Evolve Counseling Associates, LLC in Nashville, TN. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Furman University and her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University. With over a decade of experience in mental health treatment, Devon brings a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to therapeutic care.
Devon specializes in supporting individuals navigating eating disorder recovery, disordered eating, and body image concerns, as well as anxiety disorders, depression, stress, relational concerns, school concerns, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and currently serves on the board of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) Nashville Chapter.
Believing in the transformative power of relationships, Devon emphasizes mutual empathy and empowerment as the foundation for personal growth. She prioritizes building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically.
Devon practices from an integrative, evidence-based framework tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Adolescent-Focused Therapy (AFT), Family-Based Therapy (FBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Grounded in a Health at Every Size® (HAES) framework, Devon is deeply committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space for women and teen girls of all backgrounds, body sizes, identities, and life experiences.
